Haoyu Zhang is a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at Princeton University (expected to graduate in 2018). During his Ph.D. study, he worked on designing and building scalable and highly efficient distributed systems for big-data analytics and machine learning, fault-tolerant network architecture, and strongly consistent and ultrafast key-value service with programmable networks (P4). He has published in several systems conferences including NSDI, SOSP and EuroSys, and won the Best Paper Award at ACM SOCC. He previously interned at Facebook and Microsoft Research, working on optimized Spark shuffle service and video analytics systems, both deployed and running in production.
